Editorial Standards
Trading is a field where being confidently wrong costs readers real money. These are the rules we hold ourselves to, published so you can hold us to them.
What we will not publish
· Price predictions, targets, or calls to buy or sell anything
· "Signals", copy-trading pitches, or managed-account offers
· Any claim that trading is easy, low-risk, or a reliable income
· Numbers we cannot source or reproduce
If a lesson here ever makes trading sound easy, we have failed — tell us.
How claims are handled
We separate four things, and try to make clear in the wording which is which:
Fact — verifiable, and dated when it can change (fee tiers, maintenance margin, exchange behaviour).
Worked example — illustrative arithmetic. Where numbers are invented to make the maths clean, the text says so.
Judgement — our view on what usually works, stated as a view rather than as a rule of the market.
Unknown — if we cannot establish something, we write that we cannot, instead of filling the gap.
Numbers and dating
Market-structure figures move. Any figure that can go stale is written with the date and the venue it applies to, and readers are told to verify against their own venue's current schedule. Every article carries a published date; substantive updates change the modified date.
Risk-first ordering
The curriculum teaches what can go wrong before it teaches how to place a trade. Risk management sits at Stage 4 of nine — before strategy — because the order in which people learn this is what decides whether they survive year one.
Illustrations have to teach
Every diagram must pass one test: does it teach something the text cannot teach faster? Technical diagrams are drawn from the exact figures used in that article, so what you see matches what you read. Decorative images that carry no information do not belong in a lesson.
Commercial independence
Referral links are how this site pays for itself, and they are disclosed wherever they appear. Two hard rules: commissions never determine what we recommend, and a referral link only appears where opening an account is genuinely the next practical step of that lesson. A page that exists purely to generate clicks does not belong here.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, we would rather fix it than defend it. Point out the error and, if you are right, the page gets corrected. Accuracy is the only asset an education site has.
