How to use a screener without fooling yourself
A screener only shortlists. It never tells you to buy. Oversold coins can keep falling, and a volume spike can be a dump as easily as a breakout. Use the list to pick two or three charts, then read each one the way the Primer Path teaches: the trend on the higher timeframe first, then where the stop would go, then whether the trade is worth the risk.
What each filter means
- RSI oversold / overbought — 14-period RSI under 30 or over 70 on the timeframe you picked. In a strong trend RSI can stay there for a long time. How RSI works.
- Above / below MA200 — the last price against the 200-candle simple average, the classic line between a long-term uptrend and downtrend.
- Fresh MA20 × MA50 — the 20 average crossed the 50 average within the last three candles and is still on that side. Marked ×↑ or ×↓ next to the coin.
- Volume spike — the last closed candle traded at least twice the average of the 20 candles before it.
- At 30-bar high / near 30-bar low — price is at the top of its last 30 candles, or within 2% of the bottom.
