What is Tether?
Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin designed to hold a value of one US dollar, issued by Tether Limited against reserves the company reports periodically. It is the most-traded asset in crypto: most exchange pairs are quoted in USDT, and it is the “cash” traders park in between positions.
What to know before trading USDT
A stablecoin is not a trade. It is the cash you hold between trades — the thing to check is the peg (is it trading at $1.00?) and the issuer’s reserves, not a chart. If you are “buying” a stablecoin, you are selling something else.
Whatever the coin, the arithmetic is the same: decide the dollar risk first, place the stop where the idea is wrong, and let the stop-loss calculator turn it into a size. If you are new, Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 come before any chart.
