What is Zcash?
Zcash is a privacy coin launched in 2016 from Bitcoin’s codebase. Its shielded transactions use zero-knowledge proofs (zk-SNARKs) to hide sender, receiver and amount; transparent transactions are also possible. Some exchanges restrict or delist privacy coins depending on local regulation.
What to know before trading ZEC
Privacy coins carry a specific risk: exchanges in some countries delist them, which thins liquidity and can trap holders. Check that your venue supports withdrawals before you buy, and expect wider spreads than on majors.
Whatever the coin, the arithmetic is the same: decide the dollar risk first, place the stop where the idea is wrong, and let the stop-loss calculator turn it into a size. If you are new, Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 come before any chart.
